Here’s an effort to keep up with the local murder count and bring us up to date with where this city stands at the outset of Springtime. Take a look:
“Authorities are investigating the death of a man found in a wooded area of Kansas City, Missouri, as a homicide. Police said in a news release that 29-year-old Michael Luckey, of Osawatomie, Kansas, was found dead last week.”
The 31st murder of 2017 compares to 26 at this date on the calendar last year and it represents a 19.23% increase in KCMO homicide so far. This is also the highest the murder count has been for this time of the year in about 5 years.
